Iran is prepared to resume atomic talks with the United States on condition that it is handled with "dignity" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi said solely negotiations was effective, and disclosed new appeals had originated from mediators to reopen negotiations with the US government. He claimed Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect bombed nuclear sites for security reasons.

Navigating a Difficult Route

The foreign minister is treading a difficult route since Iran wishes not to be seen to be acting from a stance of vulnerability, and he emphatically stated that Iran had emerged more resilient in military terms and emotionally from the joint assault on its nuclear sites in June.
